The July August 2012 issue of Pacific Currents is an informative mix of new boundaries and additions to marine protected areas in Macuata, slices of tuna bites from observer missions on local tuna fishing fleet Solander and turtle testimonies from the field.

Additionaly the experiences of sea level rise being witnessed by Nacula village residents in the Yasawa group of islands is shared along with the mangrove replanting activing they have undertaken to build their coastal defences.

Our volunteer network has also been very active with composting and recycling projects and undertook a tour to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes.
